Grant Writer vacancy in the Lviv Media Forum team

Who we are

Since 2013, the NGO Lviv Media Forum has been strengthening media, institutions, and public figures capable of fostering healthy public dialogue in Ukraine and beyond. We are based in Lviv but implement projects across Ukraine and internationally.

We are looking for an attentive, proactive, and enthusiastic person to help us develop our projects through grant opportunities and partnerships. Prior experience in writing grant applications is not required. If you are skilled at gathering and organizing information, have a good command of English, and want your work to make a real impact on society, this role is for you.

What you will gain from working with our team

  • A stable salary and additional income tied to your performance.
  • The opportunity to implement projects that drive social change in Ukraine.
  • Training opportunities and professional support from experienced colleagues.
  • Stability and confidence — as much as possible during wartime. We have been operating for 12 years and continue to grow.
  • A team where common sense and mutual respect prevail.
  • Opportunities for growth and leisure within a community of like-minded people — from meetings with media professionals at Lviv Media Hub to book club gatherings and monthly breakfasts, where we eat and talk about everything in the world (except work).

If you are a veteran, a person with a disability, an internally displaced person, or a parent caring for minor children and need flexibility in planning your working hours or interacting with the team, we are open to finding a convenient model of cooperation. We do not impose any age restrictions — what matters most to us is sharing common values.

What you will be doing

  • Search for and track grant competitions, maintain a calendar of grant opportunities, analyze potential donors, and propose relevant ideas for participation.
  • Prepare grant applications by working with the team to gather information, prepare documents, complete forms, and communicate with donors.
  • Support the grant process by maintaining documentation, monitoring project implementation and reporting deadlines, and coordinating details with the project and finance departments.
  • Prepare presentation materials and assist in finalizing agreements for financing Lviv Media Forum projects.

This role is for you if you

  • Enjoy taking on responsibility and are capable of managing it effectively.
  • Are seeking meaningful work where you can make a genuine contribution.
  • Need flexibility due to personal or family commitments.
  • Would like to embark on a new career path.
  • Live in Lviv or are willing to relocate.

You will succeed if you

  • Enjoy and are skilled at organizing information, building arguments, and identifying cause-and-effect relationships between facts.
  • Are attentive to detail, independent in your work, and able to manage several processes simultaneously.
  • Are a team player who isn’t afraid to ask questions, clarify issues, and help others.
  • Have a good command of English — enough to read texts without translation and correspond with international partners.
  • Are open and motivated to learn and accept feedback.
