22 Ukrainian Media Outlets to Receive Support Through the IFRUM Program

The International Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukrainian Media (IFRUM) has announced the results of the selection process for its grant program aimed at strengthening the sustainability of Ukrainian media. The program is implemented by the Lviv Media Forum in partnership with DII-Ukraine.

Under this round of the program, 22 Ukrainian media outlets — national, local, and niche, including those from frontline regions — will receive support.

The total budget of the program is €360,000. Each selected editorial office will receive funding ranging from €10,000 to €20,000.

Applications were evaluated by an independent expert commission consisting of nine professionals. The Lviv Media Forum and DII-Ukraine teams administer and implement the program in partnership with IFRUM.

The goal of the program is to strengthen media outlets and help them become more resilient. To achieve this, the program provides financial support for improving internal processes, which editorial teams may allocate toward SEO, digital tools, workflow planning, audience development, establishing podcast studios, and other strategic needs.

As funding is limited, support was awarded to the editorial offices that received the highest evaluation scores.
