The subject of air defence being relevant only after shellings, and Ukraine as an “all-time beggar, asking for weapons”: presenting the results of a monitoring research of foreign media

In 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had to stand the multiple attacks by Russian drones and missiles practically on a daily basis, and frontline regions suffered from an increasing the number of guided bombs. Heavy casualties, damaged civilian infrastructure (including power plants and power lines), and economic losses could have demonstrated much lower levels if foreign allies had met Ukraine’s requests for air defence systems.

The research team of the Lviv Media Forum aims to answer this question by analyzing mentions of Ukrainian air defense in leading media in European, North American, and Asian countries.
