The Third Book Club Meeting: “Hemingway Knows Nothing” by Artur Dron
Lviv Media Forum has already hosted two meetings of the book club we launched in September, together with the creative space KIVSH and Choven Publishing House.
This time, our discussion will focus on contemporary Ukrainian literature about war. Hemingway Knows Nothing by Artur Dron is a collection of the author’s own testimonies about his experiences on the battlefield — his inner feelings, faith, and the weight of remembering fallen comrades. What is the purpose of literature in the context of war?
Date: Wednesday, November 19, 5:00 PM.
Venue: Lviv Media Hub (creative space KIVSH, 120h Shevchenka St.)
Participation requires registration via the link.
The discussion will be moderated by Ihor Balynsky, editor, media expert, and co-founder of Choven Publishing House.
Ticket: 300 UAH (includes a welcome drink from our partner — the restaurant Zoretsvit — and a donation).
The Lviv Media Forum team has a St. Nicholas Day tradition — we’ve created and continue to expand a library for wounded servicemen undergoing treatment or rehabilitation at a military hospital in Lviv. If you’d like to join this initiative, please bring a book (or several) you’d like to share to this book club meeting — we’ll deliver them during this year’s visit.
