Lviv Media Forum Accepts Applications for Strategic Media Support Program

Lviv Media Forum is accepting applications from Ukrainian media outlets for the “Advancing Media Viability in Ukraine” project until 26 August 2026. This new intake is implemented in partnership with UNESCO as part of our long-term ongoing Strategic Media Support Program.

The project will run from August 2026 to March 2027. We will select 15 independent Ukrainian media outlets and help them strengthen their organisational capacity, sustainability, and long-term development.

What the project offers

Media outlets will undergo an organizational audit to identify their strengths, areas for development, and strategic needs.

5 editorial teams will receive grants  to implement their business strategies.

All selected participants will work with mentors on individual development plans — from developing the plans to putting them into practice.

Participants will also take part in two training camps.

Who can apply

We invite independent Ukrainian media outlets that:

  • operate at the national or regional level and regularly publish content;
  • have a transparent ownership and management structure and a core team of at least 3 people;
  • have specific development needs that can be addressed through strategic support;
  • are ready to undergo an organisational audit and work on an individual development plan;
  • have sufficient resources and motivation to participate in project activities throughout the project period;
  • adhere to professional journalism standards, ethical principles, and Ukrainian legislation.

During the selection process, we will also consider the diversity of participating media, including their geographic coverage, size, and formats.

How to apply

Applications are open until 26 August 2026. To participate, fill out the application form via the link.
