Five media outlets from Dnipropetrovska oblast will receive support from Lviv Media Forum
At the beginning of 2024, the Lviv Media Forum team combined the activities and opportunities of various grant projects related to meeting the urgent needs of editorial offices and journalists into the Strategic Media Support Program. This is a long-term support program aimed at media growth. Thanks to our interaction with donors and partners, in 2023 we fulfilled more than 330 requests from media outlets from all over Ukraine.
Strategic Media Support Program focuses on the implementation of strategic plans that will allow publications to build capacity, develop and scale projects, improve the quality of content, and reach a wider audience.
Over the next few months, Lviv Media Forum will be assisting five teams from Dnipropetrovs'k region:
- Expert-KR — working on topics that are important to civil society and exposing disinformation.
- Open TV Channel is a news and analysis TV channel with a film screening. The materials tell about the unique Ukrainian gene pool and steadfast Ukrainians.
- Pershyi Kryvorizkyi is a publication known in the region for its special projects on ecology, the history of the city and the war in Ukraine.
- Pomizh — writes about cultural and historical heritage, memory, and decolonisation; materials are presented in the form of reports, interviews, and podcasts.
- Petropavlivka.city is a local media outlet about the life of the region. In addition, the editorial office publishes an online magazine of the same name and the newspaper Stepova Zorya.
We will share the media's successes on our social media pages. Follow us so you don't miss out.
We are creating this project with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic as part of the Transition Promotion Program.
