Solutions Journalism for Local Media Program Call For Participants
NGO Lviv Media Forum announces a call for participants for a new local media program. It is aimed at the implementation of solutions journalism practice in local online media of Ukraine.
Three local newsrooms, winners of the selection process, will receive mentor support and undertake an obligatory training program on producing qualitative solutions journalism content. The newsrooms also will receive financial aid for creating and promoting solutions journalism materials.
The requirements are the following:
- The newsrooms must create and publish 4-5 materials per month in terms of the program.
- One specific person, skilled in writing professional media materials and interested in solutions journalism, must be responsible for project implementation within all the project duration (April-September 2021).

The deadline for enrolment is April 18, 2021.
NGO Lviv Media Forum implements the project within Transition Promotion Program of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
Solutions journalism is the approach in content making that focuses on describing ways to respond to current social problems. By implementing this approach, local newsrooms become agents of change and work in favour of their audience and the local community.
