
Lviv Media Forum Announces the Program and Registration for LMF 2025
In 2025, the LMF conference will take place in Lviv from May 15 to 17. The event is themed “Speak the Unspoken: Choices, Decisions, Responsibility”.
The LMF 2025 program is structured around two main streams:
- Frankly Spoken — worldview-based stream, addressing the challenges of democracy in a global context.
- Smartly Done — practical stream, focusing on the day-to-day work of Ukrainian and international media and communications professionals.
All events within this year’s conference program will be in English, with no simultaneous interpretation.
Key Speakers at LMF 2025
The keynote speaker for LMF 2025 opening will be Kateryna Zarembo, a political analyst specializing in Ukraine’s foreign and security policy and civil society. Since June 2024, Kateryna Zarembo has been serving as a paramedic of the Hospitallers Medical Battalion.
Among the speakers of the conference are:
- Anne Applebaum, American historian, writer, and journalist. Сolumnist for The Atlantic, Pulitzer Prize winner.
- Catalina Gómez, covering Ukraine, Iran, and the Middle East; correspondent for France 24, La Vanguardia, and RFI.
- Timothy Garton Ash, professor of European studies at the University of Oxford.
- Mikkeline Thomsen, Danish analyst and researcher at Analysis & Numbers.
- Aida Cerkez, Bosnian journalist, senior member of OCCRP. Covered the siege of Sarajevo and the Bosnian War for Associated Press.
- Aman Sethi, Indian journalist, writer, and editor-in-chief of openDemocracy.
- Volodymyr Yermolenko, Ukrainian philosopher and president of Ukrainian PEN.
- Angelina Kariakina, co-founder of the Public Interest Journalism Lab, editor, and filmmaker with The Reckoning Project.
- Volodymyr Dehtyarov, spokesperson for the "Khartiia" Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and co-founder of Newsfront Communications.

The conference will be valuable for everyone working in the international information space, including foreign and Ukrainian media professionals, researchers, think tank experts, policymakers, communication specialists, public intellectuals, as well as representatives of civil society and international organizations.
How To Join LMF 2025
To participate in the conference, fill out the registration form. Organizers will notify applicants about their participation within 20 calendar days after form submission.
Application deadline: May 1, 2025.
This year, entry to the conference requires a mandatory charitable donation (except for active military personnel and veterans). All funds raised will go toward the institutional support of the NGO Lviv Media Forum.
Due to the event’s format, the number of participants is limited. Submitting an application does not guarantee participation, and organizers reserve the right to withhold reasons for selection.
