Lviv Media Forum invites you to the second meeting of the Book Club: we’ll discuss Where the Sun Sets by Olena Pshenychna
In September, a Book Club was launched through a collaboration of the Lviv Media Forum, the creative space KIVSH, and Choven Publishing House. The second meeting of the club will take place on October 15.
This Book Club session will focus on contemporary Ukrainian literature, featuring Olena Pshenychna’s novel Where the Sun Sets. The story highlights faith, kindness, and the importance of mutual support during wartime. Following the lives of residents in a senior care home, it offers a moving and thought-provoking reading experience.
Date: Wednesday, October 15, at 5:00 p.m.
Venue: Lviv Media Hub (KIVSH space, 120h Shevchenka Street)
Register here.
The Book Club meeting will be moderated by Ihor Balynskyi — editor, media expert, and co-founder of Choven Publishing House.
The discussion will last up to 1.5 hours.
Participation fee: 200 UAH (charitable contribution to the Lviv Media Forum fund for a colleague serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine), plus a bottle of your favorite (non-)alcoholic beverage.
At the first meeting, participants discussed the book On Freedom by American historian Timothy Snyder.
