The Fourth Book Club Meeting: reading “How to Breathe Free? A Guide to Decolonization” by Mariam Naiem
On Wednesday, December 17, at 5:00 PM, we invite you to Lviv Media Hub for the next meeting of the book club that Lviv Media Forum is developing together with the creative space KIVSH. This time, we will discuss Mariam Naiem’s new book “How to Breathe Free? A Guide to Decolonisation”. In it, the author shares her reflections on various topics, including decolonization, generational trauma, and national identity.
Mariam Naiem’s book is also a practical guide, as it includes hands-on suggestions for understanding decolonization through one’s own experience. As Mariam notes in the book’s foreword, decolonization is a long journey — but we are not walking it alone. Join our discussion to explore how each of us can begin to decolonize our own experience.
The event will take place at Lviv Media Hub (creative space KIVSH, 120h Shevchenka St.).
Participation requires registration via the link.
The discussion will be moderated by Ihor Balynsky, editor, media expert, and co-founder of Choven Publishing House.
Ticket: 250 UAH (a donation to the organization’s charitable fund).
