Vacancy for a project manager to join the Lviv Media Forum team
Who We Are
Lviv Media Forum is a non-governmental organization focused on media and for media. Since 2013, we have been working to make Ukrainian media "healthy"—global, professional, ethical, and sustainable.
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead our projects.
What Will You Gain from Working with Our Team?
- The opportunity to bring your ideas to life and implement projects that drive social change in Ukraine.
- The chance to develop skills in managing grant projects and working with donors.
- The ability to build a portfolio of projects and gain experience collaborating with both Ukrainian and international organizations.
- Stability and confidence, as much as is possible during wartime. We have been growing for eleven years and continue to expand.
- A team that values common sense, where people appreciate and support each other.
- Healthy team practices and informal communication (why not go on a tour of Yaniv Cemetery or gather a library for a hospital?).
What Sets Us Apart:
- Once a month, we have Thursday breakfasts where we eat and talk about anything and everything (except work).
- You'll have the opportunity to bring your ideas to life and try out new roles.
- We've opened the Lviv Media Hub and regularly interact with media professionals from Ukraine and beyond.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Managing grant projects (planning, implementation, monitoring of project activities, documentation, and preparation of interim and final reports).
- Coordinating the project team.
- Managing and monitoring project budgets.
- Working with donors, partners, grantees, and contractors to ensure that partnership with Lviv Media Forum is a daily joy.
- Directly contributing to making Ukrainian media more resilient and ensuring the voices of Ukrainian journalists are heard worldwide.
You’re a Fit If:
- You can be the commander-in-chief of your project: mobilizing resources, managing them effectively, making decisions, and leading the team from start to finish.
- You have experience working with donors and grant projects.
- You excel at working with budgets and reports.
- Your English is Upper-Intermediate or higher (or you’re willing to reach this level within 2-3 months).
- You constantly hone your skills and raise the standards for your team.
- The word "deadline" disciplines and motivates you, and "synergy" is more than just a buzzword for you.
- You live in Lviv or are ready to relocate.
