Announcement of selection procedure for strategic, organizational, and communications support for LMF 2026

NGO “Lviv Media Forum”, in partnership with the DW Akademie team within the project “Media FIT RE: RELOADED: Strengthening Independent Media for a Strong Democratic Ukraine” (Ref. NDICI-GEO-NEAR_2024_447-244), announces a selection procedure to engage an expert for the strategic planning, organizational, and communications support of the international event “LMF 2026”.

DW Akademie is looking for an expert to provide strategic planning, organisational and communication support for an international event “LMF 2026”. The selected applicant will be expected to ensure a high level of organisation for the LMF 2026 international conference in accordance with global standards for hosting large-scale events and provide a range of deliverables:

1. Deliverables

  • Consulting on the vision, positioning, and unique value of the LMF 2026 strategic.
  • Communication with international partners—building and coordinating relationships with media organisations, donors, think tanks, and thought leaders.
  • Securing funding and substantive support from Ukrainian and international organisations.
  • Representation at other events, fostering inter-forum dialogue.
  • Collaborating with the fundraising, communications, and finance departments, as well as with the program council.
  • Laying the groundwork to transform the forum into a self-sustaining and sustainable international project.
  • Strategic event management: developing a detailed roadmap for event preparation that takes into account the specifics of the international media community.
  • Coordinating the venue’s technical parameters (sound, lighting, and optimizing coordination among technical contractors).
  • Developing a crisis response plan to ensure the safety of participants during the event.
  • Conducting an audit of the venue’s and staff’s readiness for peak loads during the conference.
  • Professional logistics - managing the flow of international and local participants, and providing impeccable protocol support.
  • Proven experience in organising or managing international-level events (forums, congresses, conferences).
  • Having a team of experts with experience in the events industry.
  • A deep understanding of the specifics of working with international media organisations.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and ensure high-quality coordination.

3. Working Framework

  • Expected engagement time frame: April – June 2026.
