Katarzyna Kobylarczyk (born 1980) – a reporter; author of books: «Dust of Hard Candies. Spanish Fiestas», «Tales from a Block of Wonders. Reports from Nowa Huta» and «Women of Nowa Huta. Bricks, pearls and firecrackers». Her book «The scab. Spain scratches open its wounds» recently translated into Ukrainian by Julia Semeniuk (Choven, 2021) received the Ryszard Kapuściński Award for Literary Reportage and the Crystal Charter of Polish Reportage. She has written four collections of historical reportages devoted to the Lesser Poland’s culture and history for the Małopolska Institute of Culture. She has published in, among others, Dziennik Polski, Gazeta Wyborcza and Tygodnik Powszechny. A winner of Zielona Gruszka (A Green Pear) and Za różnorodnością, przeciw dyskryminacji (For Diversity, Against Discrimination) awards. A resident and enthusiast of Nowa Huta – a district of Cracow.
