LMF Media Residency Program

LMF media residency program responds to the challenges and threats Ukrainian journalists face during the war.

Due to problematic working conditions, significant workload, financial difficulties and increased level of stress, we offer a scholarship and space for journalists in Przemyśl (Poland).

This project is designed to create conditions for psychological recovery, focused workflow, networking and mutual support of journalists among themselves and their European colleagues.

Who can become a participant of the residence?

🔸 Journalists or media workers exempted from military service.

🔸 Journalists or media workers who cover complex social issues related to the war.

🔸 Media workers with at least 2 years of professional experience before the war.

🔸 Media workers who had experience working at the war forefront and/or experienced traumatic events.

The residency program provides scholarship, accomodation and workspace for media/multimedia projects in Przemyśl for a period of 1 month. Apart from that, the residents will have professional training series alongside a cultural program organized for them. Participants may also attend individual online sessions with a Ukrainian-speaking psychotherapist.

The first phase of recidencies was from 11th of May till 7th of June 2022. You can read the feedback from participants and find more about the results of the program here.
