Jarosław Gwizdak

Jarosław Gwizdak:  a judge in the District Court Katowice-Zachód (President until April 30, 2017); a lecturer at the Law and Administration Department of Silesia University and at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw (SWPS); author of many articles and presentations on court management and administration, communication between the judiciary and the society; the winner of the award for ” the Civic Judge of the Year 2015″ established by the Court Watch Polska Foundation; a co-creator of “TEDx Lex” conference in Katowice; a graduate of the Leadership Academy for Poland; a persistent local patriot of Katowice, enthusiast of micro cooperatives and social innovations; in 2018 he took part in municipal elections in Katowice, running for Mayor, and got 11% of votes after only door-to-door campaign; fluent in English, German, Czech and Silesian; a compulsory consumer of mass and high culture.
