Yalda Hakim

Presenter and correspondent at BBC World News. Her previous work experience includes working as a presenter of Dateline programme on SBS (Australian Channel). Yalda majors in international affairs. She is especially attentive to the problems of Middle East. She has got renowned in the world after report Anatomy of a Massacre. Hakim was the first western journalist to visit one of the villages in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province, where US soldier is alleged to have shot and killed Afghan civilians. Yalda speaks six languages. Currently she is learning Mandarin.
